Sea-Change
‘Don’t be afraid, open your heart and say, say what your soul sings to you’. Neither is she troubled nor in turmoil – the tempest has settled, her agitation calmed .
She seems smooth and soft, deep and dark like the polished sea on a full-moon night. Not a wind is stirring – the waves are quietly and regularly, like a timepiece, washing memories of long forgotten days to these shores, our kingdoms
.
And here we are, mirrors of the universe, staring into the silvery vastness, facing the unfathomable sea, the curly waves and the moonlight dancing upon the dark, impenetrable water, like memory, dancing, in solitude, on our souls, unrelinquished and never to be undone.
‘We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep.’
